Jorge Muelas
Jorge is a dynamic dancer who has toured with Luisillo, José Greco and as first soloist with the Belen López Ballet. He trained at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid. A regular performer with various companies in London and across Britain. Recently guested with Fiona Malena at the London Pena.
Javier Macías
Javier is originally from San Roque –Cadiz-, the birthplace Flamenco, from a family in which this art is way of expression and learnt this traditional art from a very early age in a familiar atmosphere.
He has performed in Andalusia in all the major cities including Sevilla, Granada and Jerez de la Frontera since he was a child, assimilating the styles of the different Flamenco areas. He has toured extensively in Europe before establishing himself in the Uk in 2009. Since then, Javier has worked around the country including teaching flamenco singing in London. He has participated in different projects including Café de Silverio, Trovador, La Tipica Flamenco Company and most recently The Royal Shakespeare Company in Cardenio..He is a
pillar of the Flamenco Express project.
Chris Clavo
A founder member and musical director of Flamenco Express, he began playing the guitar at fourteen years old and later studied with flamenco maestros Carlos Heredia, Diego Amaya and Pepe Justicia. He has performed throughout Britain and Europe with Flamenco Express as well as touring with flamenco jazz virtuoso Eduardo Niebla and Iraqi pop sensation Jassim.
La Joaquina
Founder member, choreographer and director of Flamenco Express. She has worked with Christina Hoyos, Paco Peña and others in Madrid, Tokyo, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Paris and throughout Europe.
