    Sales & Business Development Manager

    Firefly Solar are looking to appoint a dedicated Sales and Business Development Manager to lead sales and business growth in the company’s work within the aid and international development sectors.

    The position requires an individual with a proven ability to meet and exceed personal sales targets, as well as the ability to demonstrate a current understanding of the needs and requirements of aid agencies and ongoing developments in power technologies.

The job also offers opportunities to travel both nationally and internationally.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    – Corresponding with new potential customers by phone, email and personal visits.
    – Building brand awareness
    – Processing sales through agreed sales targets
    – Maintaining positive, effective and productive working relationships/communications with existing customers in order to grow business.
    – Ensuring company growth via accurate and up to date technical knowledge of company products and demonstrating an understanding of how these apply to new and existing customers.
    – Produce and present sales proposals, presentations, contract documentation and quotations to prospective customers.
    – Maintain accurate upkeep of sales leads using CRM software.
    – Take responsibility of the sales procedure, from generating new leads through to providing tailored quotations and issuing invoices.
    – Working closely with internal departments to deliver effective sales strategies.
    – Research and keep updated on developments within the aid and international development sectors, as well as power industries and use this knowledge and understanding to inform sales approach.
    – Maintain professional internal and external relationships which meet company core values.

    Essential criteria:
    Previous sales experience
    Competency using Microsoft Office
    Must be self motivated and target driven
    Possess excellent communication skills conducive to growing profitability, awareness and success of the company.
    Hold a valid UK driving license

    Desirable:
    Technical knowledge of generators and electrics
    Experience using CRM and/or Inflow software
    Previous experience dealing directly with aid agencies and international development organisations
